Jinshan District has announced a new talent housing policy to attract more talent and promote regional development, which has attracted attention from various parties.
To encourage more talents to stay, the new policy insists on a combination of renting and purchasing, aiming to stabilize employment, improve living conditions, and create a comfortable living environment for talent.
The new policy focuses on the following points:
1. Jinshan will increase the supply of rental housing for talent, helping new residents and young people to settle down in the district.
2. Focus on key industries and implement a talent score system. The district government will provide rental subsidies to talent who meet certain standards.
3. Serve the high-level talent and provide house purchase subsidies for top talent who meet certain criteria.
4. Target the key transformation areas in the north and south regions. Support talent in industrial areas such as the Shanghai Chemical Industry Zone, Shanghai Petrochemical Zone, Shanghai Bay Area High-Tech Industrial Development Zone and the Shanghai Carbon Valley Green Bay Industrial Park.
5. Non-local talent, who work in key industries and units, have paid social security or personal income tax for more than three years in Shanghai but do not own a house in the city, can purchase one house within the scope of the policy implementation.
